CORMORULTRA 69Km - Sunday 16th October 2011
All the athletes holding membership card in any national sport federation may participate. Athletes must otherwise be in possession of a valid medical certificate of fitness for competitive sports and be at least 18 years of age by the date of the event.
START: the race start at 8 a.m. in the Centro Sportivo Ario di Polvaries di Buia (UD).
A shuttle bus will leave from Marano at 6:30 a.m. in front of the Town Hall to bring racers to the starting line. The bus will stop in Udine at 7 a.m. near Rizzi-Udine (exit for Stadium on the Ring Road).
Numbers and race kits will be distributed at Marano at 6 a.m. where the bus leaves or at 7:30 a.m. at Buia where the race will start.
The race staff will give to each athlete a numbered bag which may be given back to the Organization and can be used at Km 32 (Zugliano) to deposit any change of clothing. The Organization will take care to bring it back to the finish line and give it back to the runners.
CHECK POINTS AND REFRESHMENTS: there are 4 scheduled check points and ten refreshment stands along the route (Km 8th, 14th, 20th, 27th, 31st, 36th, 45th, 52nd, 59th, 64th ) plus the main refreshment stand at the final line at Marano. At each of these appointed stands the athlete may stock up on what he needs to eat or drink during the race.
TIME LIMIT AT MIDWAY: the time limit to finish the race is 9 hours (at Marano by 5 p.m.) and the time limit at the Km 32 midway point is 4 hours (at Zugliano by 12 o’clock, noon).
The Organization will stop any athlete who exceeds the time limit at Zugliano and will transport him and who else might withdraw for the rest of the way.
RANKS: Overall for Men, Overall for Women, special prizes for the “IUTA Fidal” Categories.
PRIZES: There will be special prizes for the top five in the Overall Men’s and the top three for the Overall Women’s winners.
For the top three in the men’s category the following prize money will be given as a contribution to expenses: 1st €150; 2nd €100; 3rd €50.
For the first two winners in the women’s group the following money will be given as a contribution to expenses: 1st €150; 2nd €100.
Prizes will be given to the first three winners in each group, Men and Women (prizes are not summable).
Non Competitive 36Km
All healthy people may take part to the non competitive race.
START: Starting point at 10 a.m., Zugliano (Pozzuolo)
A shuttle bus will leave Marano at 9 a.m. in front of the “Vecchia Pescheria”.
Numbers and race kits will be distributed at Marano at the bus stop or at Zugliano at 9:30 a.m.
REFRESHMENTS: there will be five refreshment stands along the route (Km 5th, 13th, 21st, 28th, 32nd) plus the main refreshment stand at the final line at Marano.
TIME LIMIT: the time limit to finish the race is 7 hours (at Marano by 5 p.m.)
PRIZES: ten prizes by draw.
The route will be entirely marked and there will be organization personnel at the main crossroads.
Arrangements will be made for a telephone link, medical assistance, and a massage service at the end of the race.
Athletes enrolled in the Marathon will receive an official kit containing a technical shirt and other promotional materials.

For the CormorUltra: €22 until 30 September, €27 until 14 October.
For the 36 Km: €17 until 30 September, €22 until 14 October

For those enrolling in the main competition, without membership in any sport federation, it is obligatory to send copy of a medical certificate for competitive sport.
